The Hunger Ends Here collaborative needed a location in Elkhart County for an emergency food drop, and we were happy to say yes.

More than 400 families received food, and Cultivate was also able to distribute 1,200 prepacked meals alongside everything else available.

It was a great afternoon and a powerful example of our community coming together.

The Elkhart County Food Collaborative is a partnership of nonprofit organizations united by one mission: to ensure no one in our community goes hungry. By pooling resources, sharing ideas, and working side-by-side, we’re tackling food insecurity with the strength that comes from working together.

Taste of Hope is one of the most enjoyable nights of the year. Every ticket purchased, sponsorship secured, and bite enjoyed helps us keep good food out of landfills and get it to neighbors who need it.

Friday afternoon, we put out a call for volunteers at our Elkhart location, and 23 people showed up ready to help! Together, they bagged 3,320 meals and had them ready for our trucks in less than 40 minutes.

A big shoutout to Lia, Greg, Oscar and Dylan for jumping in and making sure every opportunity to rescue food was maximized.

Anika Spangle has brought her six children to Dustin's Place for the past couple of years after her husband died from cancer in 2023.

During an already painful and stressful season, one meaningful support for her family has been the meals provided through Cultivate Food Rescue.

This story is a powerful reminder of why partnerships matter. Through organizations like Dustin’s Place, the food we rescue reaches real families navigating real hardship, offering not only nutrition, but a little relief when it is needed most.

As part of WNDU’s month-long Donate to Cultivate campaign, they are highlighting some of the hundreds of pantries, churches, and organizations that help get food into the hands of our neighbors.

Today, Pastor Jim McKinnies of Christ Temple Apostolic shared about our partnership and the work being done.

We are humbled by his words and deeply grateful for this partnership. At Cultivate, we know the food we rescue and prepare only reaches the people who need it most because of the dedicated organizations serving on the front lines every day.
