Founded in 1967, this ensemble in residence at the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts provides a rich musical experience for all listeners. The choir’s repertoire ranges from the choral works of the masters, to pops and show tunes, to specialty theme concerts covering a variety of musical literature, including religious music. tor of the South Bend Symphonic Choir. Dean Curtis has held positions at Fayetteville State University, California State University, Stanislaus, Virginia Union University, and Lane College. He earned degrees from North Park College, The Presbyterian School of Christian Education, and The University of the Pacific. He took additional studies at Westminster Choir College and The Juilliard School of Music. Curtis was a Ford Foundation Fellow to the National Council for Black Studies Conference in Accra, Ghana, where he studied at the University of Ghana at Lagon.
