It's not too early to start practicing your braiding technique for a round challah! While challah is usually shaped in a simple long braid, the round version is associated with Rosh Hashanah to symbolize the roundness of the cycle of the year.

Worried that round challah may be too complicated for you? If you can braid a standard challah, you can definitely make a round challah. You can find the easy-to-follow directions on our Rosh Hashanah hub on the PJ Library website.
