It is with profound sadness that Clay Fire announces the sudden and unexpected passing of our dear friend and colleague, Retired Fire Marshal Dave Cherrone.
Dave dedicated more than 50 years of his life to serving our community, truly embodying the Clay Fire mission “To Help Others” in every way. His unwavering dedication, leadership, and kindness touched countless lives. The legacy he leaves within Clay Fire, across our community, and throughout the fire service will never be forgotten.
Arrangements for Fire Marshal Cherrone’s services have not yet been finalized. We will share details with the community as soon as they are available.
In the meantime, we ask that you keep Dave’s family, friends, and all who loved him in your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.
