Education Bridge

Education Bridge South Sudan is the youngest country in the world. It's home to 11 million people from 64 different ethnic groups.

Education Bridge is 501 (c)(3) For Impact organization which seeks to empower young people in South Sudan, through holistic education, to end poverty and violent conflict in their communities. Sadly, our last six (6) years of independence have been marked by violence & suffering from inter-ethnic conflict, fueled in part by stereotyping. Low literacy (27%) and ethnic segregation make it very diffi

cult to challenge these stereotypes & often dehumanizing narratives. Education Bridge is addressing this by building a network of secondary schools aimed at providing quality education and increasing inter-ethnic interactions. We believe our diversity should be a source of pride & unity and not of contention.

Education Bridge wishes you all a Happy Africa Day.

Today, the continent marks the day African nations united with a shared vision of a liberated, prosperous, and self-reliant continent. We join in celebrating the power of education to prepare young people to realize this vision and build stronger communities.

Education Bridge is shaping South Sudan's youth through holistic education, ensuring they play their role in the African vision. Through peace, leadership, and opportunity, we believe South Sudanese youth can become leaders in their communities, country, and across the continent. Happy Africa Day.

The Education Bridge fraternity proudly celebrates ADUOT MALUETH ADUOT JOK, one of the first graduates from Greenbelt Academy Bor’s Class of 2019, who has now completed a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Ashesi University in Ghana, graduating with the Class of 2026.

From the classrooms of Greenbelt Academy to earning a degree abroad, Aduot’s journey reflects the power of access to quality education, mentorship, and strong foundations. It is a reminder that leadership development does not begin at university, it begins in schools that nurture confidence, discipline, curiosity, and purpose.

At Education Bridge, through the Greenbelt Academy group of schools, we remain committed to building these foundations for the next generation of South Sudanese leaders, innovators, and changemakers.

Your success is not only personal. It is an inspiration to younger students who now see what is possible.

Congratulations, Aduot Malueth. The entire Greenbelt and Education Bridge family is proud of you.

South Sudan faces severe challenges in foundational literacy and numeracy, with UNICEF estimating the literacy rates for grade 2 and 3 just about 10% in the country. Pupils struggle in later grades, leading to a 14-37% primary school completion rate.

Through the Alpha Teachers Network, Education Bridge is training young teachers to improve foundational literacy and numeracy in South Sudan’s primary schools.

When pupils learn to read well, and are taught at the right level they learn better, leading to better learning outcomes.

On International Labor Day, we are reminded that behind every mission, every milestone, and every student success story, there are people doing the work that makes it all possible.

At Education Bridge, we recognize and appreciate the dedication of our organizational staff who keep everything moving, often behind the scenes. We celebrate our teaching staff at Greenbelt Academies, whose daily commitment shapes minds and futures. We acknowledge our non-teaching staff, whose support creates the environment where learning can truly happen. And we honor our programs team, who turn vision into real impact in the communities we serve. Progress is never the result of one role alone. It is built through collective effort, shared purpose, and consistent commitment.

On this International Labor Day, we thank every member of our team for the work you do and the difference you make every single day.

The university transition rate in South Sudan is less than 1%.

Due to structural barriers, many talented young people are unable to pursue further studies. Higher education improves employment prospects by providing the specialization required in modern workplaces. Without access to higher education, many brilliant young people struggle to provide for themselves and their families.

At Education Bridge, through Greenbelt Academies, we help our students overcome these barriers through dedicated counseling, mentorship, and pathways to higher education.

As a result of our commitment to this cause, 65% of our alumni have transitioned to further studies, a significant number securing competitive scholarships abroad. Our students are represented at prestigious global institutions like Princeton, Notre Dame, ALA, and the United World Colleges.

We believe talent exists everywhere, and we are working to ensure opportunity does too.

International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace

Peace is achieved when people choose cooperation through dialogue. Multilateralism and diplomacy are universal languages, and today we honor their power to promote peace, stability, and development for all.

At Education Bridge, our work brings together young people from different communities across South Sudan to learn, lead, and build friendships that blur the lines that once divided them. Our learning model is built on teamwork, the relentless pursuit of excellence, and shared understanding within a harmonious learning environment. These values are helping shape a generation of peacemakers and transformational leaders for South Sudan.

Happy International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace.

International Mother Earth Day

On this International Mother Earth Day, we celebrate the environment where learning takes place across our campuses. We also recognize our student environmental clubs and their efforts to keep their learning spaces clean and healthy.

Today is a reminder that individual action, education, and activism all play an important role in protecting our communities, our country, and our planet.

At Education Bridge, we remain committed to raising academically strong and socially conscious leaders who will create positive change in their communities.

Happy International Mother Earth Day.
