CTDI Memphis – Sheffield Elementary School

CTDI Memphis partnered with Sheffield Elementary School during Read Across America Week to support literacy and classroom engagement. Volunteers brought stories directly to students through interactive read-alouds.

CTDI Albany partnered with the Albany School of Humanities to bring Read Across America to life for local students. Volunteers spent time reading aloud and connecting with students through books and conversation.

CTDI Joliet volunteers visited District 86 Taft Elementary School to celebrate Read Across America Week with local students. Through shared stories and classroom visits, volunteers helped make reading fun and engaging.

South Bend – Harrison Elementary School

CTDI South Bend partnered with Harrison Elementary School for Read Across America Week, bringing stories and smiles directly into the classroom. Volunteers spent time reading with students and encouraging excitement around books and learning.

Every student received a new book to take home after the reading session—helping extend literacy beyond the classroom and into the home. Small moments like these create lasting impact.

Read Across America 2026

This year, 10 CTDI branches across the country partnered with Partners in Outreach to celebrate Read Across America Week. Together, employees visited local elementary schools to read with first and second-grade students and help foster a love of literacy.

At each school visit, students not only enjoyed story time with volunteers—they also received a brand-new book to take home and keep. Through partnerships like these, we continue working to put books directly into the hands of children and promote lifelong reading habits.

Bancroft Classroom Reading

We recently partnered with Bancroft Elementary School to bring the joy of reading directly into classrooms, creating meaningful moments for students and volunteers alike.

Highlights:
• Reached over 230 students in grades 1–3
• Each student received a brand-new book
• Supported by a generous KPMG grant
• 16+ KPMG volunteers participated as classroom readers
• Books thoughtfully selected by our Literacy Inventory Coordinator
