Hello All,

I made it safely back to Atlanta from Tennessee this afternoon 8/7. It was great seeing and reconnecting with everyone at the reunion festivities.

Attached are the original presentation slides that I was going to present at the Spann Family Reunion August 4-6, 2023 in South Bend, Indiana. If you know of anyone else that would like a copy, please let me know or forward this email to them. I will also post it to the Spann Family Facebook group page.

I apologize again for the technical difficulties that occurred. Nonetheless, this is still a work in progress and will be updated accordingly based on new evidence and research. This is just a fraction of what I was able to present at the family reunion. I hope that I was able to shed some useful insight into the Spann family tree. As you can see it’s quite large even with the exclusion of the children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and so forth of Frank J. and Nadine Spann’s 12 children. I will work on this next and will hopefully have everyone included by the time we have another family reunion.

Let me know if you have any questions, issues, or concerns with what was presented or if anything that needs to be amended.

Hey family the gaming bus is in the back parking lot of the hotel from 11-2. It will hold 8-10 kids at a time so please be mindful of other children that may want to participate! We are asking everyone to be at the Charles Martin Center @ 3pm!

Greetings Family Members,
Great news, we have completed the itinerary for our 2023 Spann Family Reunion. The reunion will be held on 8/4/2023 - 8/6/2023.

8/4/2023 - Friday night: 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm Meet and Greet
During this time, we will gather in the Comfort Suites meeting room to meet and greet family members, take pictures, reminisce, play board games, cards and dominos among other activities.
There will be a Taco bar along with other foods and refreshments.

8/5/2023 - Saturday: Free time (up until 4:00 pm) for sightseeing, shopping, visiting our casino, relaxing at the hotel’s in-door pool or exploring the different types of dining that the city of South Bend has to offer.
Also, we plan to have a game bus located in the parking lot at the hotel for all of our gamers (young and old) to enjoy!
At 4:00 pm we will meet at the Charles Martin Center for our banquet. We will enjoy a delicious meal prepared by some of our family members.
After dinner Marco Morris will give a presentation on our family roots. I am very excited about his presentation, for Marco has worked on this project for many years and has invested a lot of his time in the project.

8/6/2023 – Sunday: A farewell breakfast will be held at Golden Corral, the time to be determined later. Each family member will be responsible for the cost of their meal. The cost of the reunion does not include breakfast at Golden Corral.

The rooms will be held for us until 7/5/2023. After that date there are no guarantees that there will be rooms available, so please book your room(s) as soon as possible.
