Dear SB Community:
The SB School Foundation had a busy 2025 and we would like to thank the community and others for their continued support. With the help of generous members of the community, the Cheney Foundation, Weyerhaeuser, the SB School District and through our own foundation funds, we were able to raise nearly $30,000 for new instruments for the music program and $40,000 for additional new playground equipment for Mike Morris Elementary School. We also supported the Kiwanis Summer School program and handed out $3,000 in scholarships to our seniors.
We are excited and proud of what we have been able to accomplish in our very short 3 years of existence. None of it would be possible without the board’s work behind the scenes and the many benefactors who have stepped up with their generosity and support of SB kids. We would like to recognize some of our bigger benefactors this year; Cheney Foundation, Weyerhaeuser Giving Fund, Michael O’Meagher, Linda Karjala, Orville Standifer, Ron Johnson Family, Ken Williams Family, Margie Lewis & Family, The Teresa Davis Family, Steve Stigar Family, Jaime Medina Family, Penoyar Law Office and the Koplitz family.
If you are interested in donating to the foundation, there are a number of ways to do so. We have received donations as part of family estates, In Memory Of loved ones, In Lieu of Flowers, RMD’s and personal tax deductions.
We’d like to remind folks of our Donor Wall in Koplitz FH that recognizes everyone who has donated at least $1,000 to over $10,000. Donations accumulate over time so you do not have to donate $1,000 at once to make the wall.
