๐พ We have some exciting news to share!
Strengthen ND has been selected as one of just 20 Civic Hubs nationwide to receive funding from the Trust for Civic Life as part of its 2026 Civic Hub Grant Cycle. Together, these organizations were awarded $7.6 million to strengthen civic life across rural America, with unrestricted grants supporting local organizations that bring people together, build shared vision, solve problems, and distribute resources where they are needed most.
For us, this recognition is deeply meaningful.
Since the day Strengthen ND was founded, we've believed that rural communities already have the people, ideas, and determination to solve their biggest challenges. What they often need is someone willing to invest in them, connect them to resources, and walk alongside them as they build their own future.
This award affirms that belief.
Over the past several years, we've had the privilege of working with communities across North Dakota on everything from community-led planning and strategic grantmaking to rural food systems, AmeriCorps, entrepreneurship, and innovative models like community-owned financing. Every initiative has been rooted in the same idea: lasting change happens when communities own the vision and lead the work.
We're honored to join a network of 66 Civic Hubs across the country that are reimagining what civic life can look like in rural America. We look forward to learning from these remarkable organizations while continuing to invest in the people and places that make North Dakota extraordinary.
