"Out with the old and in with the new" was this Saturday morning's Work Party theme pertaining to our West Beach stairs. 18 members volunteered their valuable time to make our main access point safer- removing a compromised stair flight and building and replacing it with a new one. This DIY commitment is exactly why our SBPOA membership remains the best value on the North Shore.

Special thanks to Andy and Paul for their carpenter wizardry and leadership on the task. And many thanks to Gerard, Thomas, Eric, Donna, Rene, Brian, JJ, Aggie, Meghan, Conor, Emaline, John, Nancy, Betty, Hope and Liza- the latter 2 also get photo credits!

In the spirit of keeping up momentum, another Work Party is scheduled this coming Saturday June 13th at 8AM- noon at West Beach. Please make every effort to join us- even for an hour.

Knotweed Removal Work Party Sat. May 2nd

We thank the 10 members that carved out some time yesterday to help maintain the kayak area by removing knotweed. From clipping to ultimately carting it all away, kayak owners and all SBPOA members appreciate your efforts! Special thanks to Cindy DeLuca our kayak commissioner for organizing and being on the scene all morning.

Reminder: knotweed is an all-season issue- kayak owners, please cut back your area when needed to keep your crafts accessible and the racks looking clean and tidy.

This past Saturday Nov. 22nd, The SBPOA and The Rotary celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Peace Pole movement at our very own Peace Pole on the top of East beach stairs.
