Having a child changes your life completely but having a child with special health care needs changes your life to a whole new level-- physically, emotionally, mentally, financially, and socially. Long-term medical care of children with complex conditions can be overwhelming and can lead to poor psychological outcomes. With your support we can help families by allowing them to engage in daily acti

vities thus decreasing feelings of isolation; providing the family with rest and relaxation; improving the ability to cope with daily responsibilities; maintaining stability during crisis situations; helping preserve the family unit by decreasing the pressures that may lead to divorce, institutionalization, abuse and/ or neglect; and, making it possible for people with disabilities to establish individual identities and enrich their own growth and development. All donations are 501(c)3 tax exempt tax and go directly to the children and the families in our communities who need it the most.

For Seven Years, We Rode For Life - And Our Mission Roars On.

The Jocelyn Tangitau Foundation Inc. has proudly organized the Ride For Life for the past seven years, uniting passionate riders and generous supporters to make a difference for children battling life-threatening illnesses.
Thanks to your unwavering support, we have helped fund vital hospital programs and organizations that give these children and their families a fighting chance at an illness-free future.

Though we will not be holding a 'Ride For Life’ event in 2025, our commitment remains as strong, forceful, and thunderous as a Harley snarl.

Yesterday, Lyric and I took a trip to check out the new Costco—43 miles away, mind you. We won’t need to visit again anytime soon, judging by the mountain of groceries we hauled home.🤑🙃 Funny thing is, we only went for the hot dogs.🌭

But the real journey began on the drive back. Out of the blue, Lyric asked me: What defeats Hope? That question unraveled into an unexpected discussion, one we didn’t see coming. At one point, Lyric tried to escape the conversation, but let’s be honest—when you throw around phrases like ‘existential dread’ at an adult and father, there’s no easy exit.

We finally agreed that Hope’s greatest foes are Dread and Betrayal. Yet here I am, on a Saturday morning, and Hope’s still alive and kicking. Carry on, friends. Carry on.
