Unfortunately the silhouette match today at the Sheriffs range is cancelled due to weather. There has been a lot of rain in Gonzales and the range will be too wet to shoot on.

I am recruiting additional SBR Range Officers in the Southern Region. I’m trying to increase our depth in the South to give us more flexibility and fill gaps if they arise. If any Level I Rifle Instructors would like to step up and learn the ways of the Smallbore Rifle Matches (NRA 3-P, CMP and Silhouettes), come serve as Assistant Range Officers (ARO) this week. Don’t be afraid! I don’t bite.
I like to give everyone a year or two of mentoring before having you run any matches. All you need are PPE and fully enclosed footwear.
If you’re interested in becoming an Instructor, I invite y’all to join us on the firing line, as well.

Attention!!!
Your competition jerseys are here! The competitor and Instructor jerseys for Archery, BB Gun, Air Rifle and Air Pistol will be distributed at the Southern Regional Match (on the day you compete) by the following Instructors:
Kim Braud: Air Rifle and BB Gun
Jeff Lambert: Air Pistol
Archery: Kathy Gibbons
Shotgun, SBP and SBR will be issued next week.
Jeff Lambert will have the shotgun and pistol jerseys.
Kim Braud will have the remaining rifle jerseys.
Please, DO NOT call the 4-H Office about the jerseys, unless you’ve not paid for them (Instructors owe $65 per jersey). There will be no early pickup.

Our Range Officers need your help!

Anyone needing service hours? Any local groups willing to lend a hand? No experience required.

We will be setting up the Southern Regional Air Rifle/Pistol/BB Range on Thursday, March 19th. We need at least ten people to assist, starting at 2pm. With enough help, we should be done by 5pm. If you are available, please text Robert Braud at 225-337-4020.
