In case anyone is wondering I have left this page up because it shows what we have done in the past unfortunately due to personal circumstances the farm has had to close and the rescue has had to close I'm now in no position to take any horses but my expertise is always available to anybody who needs it. everyone please say a prayer for our dog Brooks. He has apparently ate something he is either allergic to or is toxic. He is currently in the vet hospital with a high fever and seizures. They think they have his temp under control, but still do not know the root cause. He will be staying there over night and i am sure could use all the positive thoughts and prayers we can send him

Our beautiful old girl Makeda passed away this afternoon. She was an old amish work horse that came to us by way of 3 auctions in 32 days. From New Holland to Mt Airy to Archdale NC. By time we got her she was body scoring at a 1 and had a nasty cut on her back ankle most likely where another horse stepped on it in a crowed pen or trailer. She was at least 30 years old and had about 5 teeth, but was always first in line for her old lady mush! RIP Sweet Makeda.

20yr old arab cross mare. Pasture sound due to deformity of a back ankle. Very friendly and easy to get along with. LOVES kids! She is broke, but will only carry a SMALL child. leg causes her no pain and requires no medications. She does need a competent farrier. Stays fat and happy on grass or hay only. Adoption fee waved. Beautiful OTTB mare 7yrs old. Very sweet mare, very easy to get along with. Smart and easy to ride. Star was placed with a family but they could not keep her so she was returned to us. She does need good feed to keep up her weight, but not a crazy amount. Currently getting 4lb alfalfa pellets and 4 lbs triple crown senior and is gaining weight. Current and utd on everything. Well mannered and ADORABLE donkey needs new home. He is friendly, well mannered, and green broke to ride. He can be a bit timid due to abuse in his past. 5yrs old and utd on everything. Only bad habit is he is an escape artist. He MUST!!! have a home with good electric fence. Adoption fee applies. Located in central NC.

One is a Rocky Mountain gated mare, broke to ride, sorrel with flaxen mane & tail. She
was supposed to be registered, but I have not been able to get papers. I think the owner that I got her from
lied to me. She is approx...15 years old. (only the GOOD LORD knows for sure) I ride her, but she is no fun
to ride unless you ride along with others. (herd/barn sour)

The other one is a registered appendix paint mare.(beautiful bay roan) She was born here..........I spent over $2,000.00 to get
her broke. (by 2 different trainers).............But she has not been ridden in years. She was foaled on April 7, 2001
Her sire is out of Easy Jet. She is A LOT of horse.

They are not current on shots or deworming, but I WILL make sure they are current..........and hooves trimmed.
if you can help me find good homes.

I have S E V E N............horses..........and it has been a struggle to keep them all fed..........
I have a 30 year old and a 33 year old.............(I had a 40 year old that died 2 years ago from
old age..........ha)
I have had those 2 for over 26 years..........

So it was hard to decide which ones to find homes for........

It is that time of year again. People need homes for their horses. Here we have a UNBRANDED mustang. He is 2yrs old and intact. This horse has had a bit of a rough start in life. He was a prize in a raffle give away as a baby. Got picked on and mistreated. He was given to his current owner, who does not have the experience to take on a young stud. It is with a heavy heart i say that yesterday Miss Marigold ...... our oldest resident passed away. She was an ottb from WAY back and would have been 35 this spring.

So a very busy day. Left at 7 this morning four hours to the location and five hours back due to a monsoon we hit. But we were able to come up with a new name for our new girl. Jillian. Why because it rhymes with Gilligan and that is what we felt like. A three hour tour tossed and lost at sea. But Jillian took it like a trooper cleaned her hay manger.

URGENT Located in Newburgh IN .... "looking for a home for my 13 y/o Thoroughbred mare. I recently had a baby and can no longer afford to care for her anymore. She is a very talented hunter/jumper who has shown up to 3 ft. She is spunky and more suited for an intermediate rider. She short steps in the hind left intermitently. I am having trouble finding a home for her and need to find her a place soon."
