New Market Civitans A volunteer service club that has worked to better the lives of citizens in Sophia and surrounding co

Founded in 1960, the New Market Civitans is an all-male service club located in Sophia, NC. Through volunteerism and philanthropy, the men of the New Market Civitans have enriched and enhanced the lives of the citizens within their community and beyond for over half a century. By way of various fundraisers, such as their popular Ham and Egg Suppers, the New Market Civitans are able to make annual

charitable contributions to local schools, Boys and Girls Clubs of NC, Randolph County Special Olympics, Victory Junction, and other local organizations. The Club also founded New Market Civitan Park (Coggins Field), a youth baseball and softball complex built by the New Market Civitans in 1984. Members meet every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:00pm in the New Market Community Building located at 4530 Nelson Park Road, Sophia, NC. The Club encourages anyone interested in joining to attend a meeting. Please also feel free to message the administrator of this page for additional information. For women interested in joining the Civitans, the New Market Ladies Civitans meet every 2nd and 4th Monday at 7:00pm in the New Market Community Building.
