Looking for a meaningful way to make a difference in your community this summer? There are many ways to serve at Hope in the Mountains.

Whether you enjoy spending time with children, encouraging seniors, helping with special events, preparing meals, or assisting behind the scenes, volunteers play an important role in everything we do.

We have added a weekly program in partnership with the Raleigh County Commission on Aging. Every Tuesday, from 11 AM to 1 PM, we will be hosting seniors for an activity and a meal. If you would like to partner with us in ministry, you could host an activity, pass out food, or help us clean up afterwards.

If you're interested in serving, we'd love to hear from you. Email Kim at [email protected] or call at (304) 683-1110 to learn about current volunteer opportunities.

Recovery doesn’t happen overnight; it happens one step, one day, one month at a time.

Your donation to Hope in the Mountains helps men in recovery access the support, structure, and encouragement they need to move forward.
Every gift matters. Every month makes a difference.

Over the past couple of months, Reed Hobdy has already made a meaningful impact as Program Director at Hope in the Mountains, and we are excited about all that's ahead!

Since joining the team full time in June, Reed has brought his background in youth work, education, sports ministry, and seminary studies to the programs he leads, building strong connections with young people and encouraging them to reach their full potential. His passion for serving youth has been evident in many Hope in the Mountains initiatives, including Pathways to Success.

Reed and his wife, Abi, are enjoying life in the Beckley area with their sons, Spencer, and newest addition, baby Henry. Abi is a proud West Virginia native and a 2014 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, while Reed grew up near Nashville, Tennessee, before living in Arkansas, Illinois, and Texas.

Hope in the Mountains is grateful for Reed's leadership, heart for service, and the positive difference he's already making. Please continue to keep Reed and his family in your prayers as they settle into this exciting season.

Great things are happening, and the future is brighter because of dedicated leaders like Reed!
