ARDR is an aged Draft horse rescue.

We provide a safe haven for Draft horses to live out their lives as a horse, plenty of room to move around stress free and never wanting for anything.

Miss Heidi has not been too keen on the barn since being here. having the barn open will do her good. Got a stall for her should she wish to join the rest for chow downs.

Caught ! trolling the fence line for breaches to steal the apples in the orchard, we had just finished repairing the last one :-) Not today Sterling. "Who me"?

Sweaty Pie came into the rescue 2 weeks ago and has settled in great. Unfortunately she was lame, which after e-xrays, showed arthritis in several joints. We had all these joints injected and she is on a 4x course of weekly injections to take the inflammation down. As you can see she is way better, albeit a tad impatient waiting for the vet. LOL

Our newest member of the family. Heidi, originally purchased from Bowie Kill pen, wasn't getting along well with her new pasture buddy so we gave her a soft place to land. 18 years old, 18 hands possibly a former pulling horse. She has been a challenge to integrate over the past 4 weeks but she's slowly learning to be nice and get along with others. LOL. This girl is huge but acts like a pocket pony.
