💜 Today & Together is proud to have sponsored the Walk to End Alzheimer’s for the past two years!

This year felt especially meaningful. With our program now open and serving families, we were happy to share how Today & Together supports people living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia while providing caregivers with meaningful respite.

We were honored to be invited to speak about our program, joined by caregiver Zoe and her mother, Heather, one of our participants. Hearing them share their experiences brought a personal connection to the work we do every day.

A special thank-you to our board member Tim Freeman and advisory committee member Joe Hanson for joining us and showing their support.

We’re proud to walk alongside this community, raising awareness and helping families find connection, care, and support. 💜

🌟 This Week’s Spotlight 🌟

This week, we welcomed Kate, a wonderful volunteer from Jack London State Historic Park, who shared an engaging presentation about the life and legacy of Jack London.

Best known for classics such as The Call of the Wild and White Fang, Jack London was also an adventurer and sailor. He traveled across the Pacific aboard his sailboat, the Snark, and drew inspiration for his writing from his many journeys and experiences. He later settled at Beauty Ranch in Glen Ellen.

Our participants truly enjoyed learning about his fascinating life and his special connection to Sonoma Valley. Thank you, Kate, for bringing local history to life for us!

⚾️ Staff & Volunteer Appreciation Day! ❤️

Today & Together is incredibly fortunate to have such a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who give their time, energy, and heart to our participants every day.

As a small token of our appreciation, we sent some of our amazing team out for a fun day at the ballpark to watch the San Francisco Giants take on the San Diego Padres! ⚾️🧡🖤

Taking care of others is meaningful work, and the people who make that care possible deserve to be celebrated too. We hope everyone had an amazing time—you’ve earned it!

🌿 Spotlight of the Week: Exploring Sonoma with Ranger Dave

This week, we had a special visit from Ranger Dave, who brought the beauty and wildlife of California State Parks right into Today & Together!

Ranger Dave shared fascinating information about our local Sonoma parks and the plants and wildlife that make this area so special. Participants had the opportunity to see and touch coyote pelts, learn about animals native to our region, and even hear about how park rangers safely handle and relocate rattlesnakes when necessary.

It was a wonderful hands-on experience that encouraged curiosity, conversation, and connection with nature. Our participants especially enjoyed being able to see and feel some of the items Ranger Dave brought along while sharing their own stories and experiences with the outdoors.

We love bringing experiences like this into Today & Together—opportunities that allow our participants to continue learning, exploring, reminiscing, and connecting with the beautiful community around us.

🌻 Garden Club 🌿☀️

There’s something special about starting the morning outside in the sunshine!

Our Garden Club, led by our wonderful volunteer David, gives participants the opportunity to get their hands in the soil, help care for our beautiful flower beds, and take part in watering and tending to the garden. 🌷🪴

While some participants enjoy gardening, others come outside to walk, enjoy the fresh air, and simply take in the beauty around them.

It’s a wonderful way to start the day with movement, purpose, connection, and a little sunshine. 💛

🎶 Live Music at Today & Together! 🎶

What a special afternoon we had at Today & Together! We were thrilled to welcome Jon Chi, a talented Marin County-based singer-songwriter, guitarist, and producer whose music blends Americana, soul, and rock. Jon’s music has received radio play and has even been featured on NPR’s All Things Considered. (My Site⁠)

Our participants absolutely loved his performance! ❤️ There were smiles, singing, dancing, and so much wonderful energy throughout the room. Music has such an incredible way of bringing people together, sparking memories, and creating moments of pure joy—and today was a perfect example of that.

A huge thank you to Jon Chi for sharing his time and talent with our Today & Together family. We can’t wait to have you back! 🎸🎶💙

🎹 Music, Movement & Joy at Today & Together! 🎶💃

What a wonderful afternoon at Today & Together! Our participants enjoyed a fun and engaging music lesson on the keyboard with our amazing volunteer, Carol. Everyone had the opportunity to explore the keys, make music, and enjoy learning together.

After our lesson, we turned up the music and got on our feet to dance! 💃🕺 There were smiles, laughter, and plenty of great moves around the room.

Moments like these remind us how powerful music can be—bringing people together, sparking memories, encouraging movement, and creating pure joy. ❤️

🎶 Volunteer Appreciation Spotlight 🎶

A special thank you to our newest volunteer, Pat Noel!

Pat joined us this week and has already brought so much joy to Today & Together through the gift of music. Whether playing the piano, guitar, or harp, or sharing his beautiful singing voice, Pat has created meaningful moments and smiles for our participants.

We are incredibly grateful for all of our volunteers. Their time, talents, and compassion help make our program a warm and welcoming community each day. Simply put, we couldn’t do what we do without them.
