Lyon Ranch Lyon Ranch Therapy Animals is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that rehabilatates neglected/abused animals.

The animals that recover and enjoy humqn interaction become animal ambassadors in our outreach programs led by three animal professionals. Located in Sonoma, California, we take any number of our 70+ animals to nursing homes, hospitals, retirement communities, senior citizen centers, and various other events throughout the Bay area. Many of our animals have been rescued from neglect and abuse, or

were scheduled to be euthanized. These pets now serve to benefit the emotional and physical health of the elderly, patients in psychiatric hospitals and in long-term care facilities.

Join Lyon Ranch and at Pronzini Ranch (Petaluma) 3PM-8PM Sunday, August 30th and help us support Food Not Fentanyl. Food Not Fentanyl is an amazing event created by Sax's Joint so you can expect good food and live music in addition to family activities and live exotic animals including Freddy the camel! Food Not Fentanyl! Join us this Sunday, August 30th 3PM-8PM at Pronzini Ranch for animals, food, music, and fun for all ages! This fundraiser was arranged by Sax's Joint for the benefit of Micahs Hugs Foundation and we couldn’t be happier to support such a great cause. ❤️ Entry is $40 for anyone 12+, with free entry for kids 12 and under.

A ferret found in a ditch?! Yes that’s right! Please help us welcome our newest rescue at Lyon Ranch- Faith! Faith was found by a mother and her son out in a ditch Pleasanton (CA) who were kind enough to drive her up to our sanctuary. It seems that Faith was outside for at least a week as she came to us dehydrated and very skinny. Why is she missing all that fur? Faith, just like most ferrets, has Ferret Adrenal Disease. Adrenal disease occurs in ferrets like Faith who were spayed/neutered before reaching maturity. Thankfully, Adrenal Disease can be treated with a hormonal implant, and Faith should be feeling a lot better in the next month.

Poor Benny had all his teeth pulled yesterday due to AGGRESSIVE stomatitis. Thankfully our little guy is recovering smoothly and we are so grateful to our friends at . Dental health is so important to an animal’s quality of life and we can’t recommend them highly enough. ❤️

Romeo the Moluccan cockatoo wanted to say thank you to the kind person who recently donated food and other goodies through our Amazon wish list! It felt like Christmas for both the humans and the birds. ❤️ We offer our birds a variety of different foods for not only health purposes but for their mental enrichment as well. Romeo also gets lots of fresh food items like fruits, veggies, cooked eggs from our rescue hens, and even legumes.
