🕊️ Dove Season is officially OPEN!

September 1 marks the start of California’s early dove season! For young and new hunters, it’s a great opportunity to get into the field, build confidence, practice safe hunting skills, and learn alongside family and mentors.

California Dove Season:
Early Season: Sept. 1–15
Second Season: Nov. 14–Dec. 28

The combined daily limit for mourning and white-winged doves is 15 birds, with no more than 10 white-winged doves.

Heading out?
Don’t forget your California hunting license, HIP Validation and Upland Game Bird Validation (not required for Junior Hunting License holders), along with nonlead ammunition. Always check current CDFW regulations and local hunting-area requirements before your hunt.

💚 KOSC alumni — we want to see you out there! If you’re hunting with one of our past campers, tag us in your photos or stories! We love seeing our campers continue building their skills, making memories, and thriving in the outdoors beyond camp.

Hunt safe, have fun & pass it on. 🕊️🌾

Week 5 of KOSC has been an incredible one for our Elite Campers!

From fishing and archery to rifle, shotgun, and pistol, these campers have been putting their skills to the test while making friendships and memories that will last long after camp ends. Add in some amazing meals, plenty of laughs, and it’s been one unforgettable week.

Most of these campers have grown up through the KOSC program, and it’s so rewarding to watch them return each summer with more confidence, knowledge, and leadership. We couldn’t be more proud of this amazing group and the next generation of the KOSC family. ❤️🏹🎣🎯

As our next camp approaches, I can’t help but look back at all the memories we’ve made this summer.

Advanced Camp Week 2 was such a blast! Watching campers come back year after year, building their skills, confidence, and passion for the outdoors is one of the best parts of KOSC.

Through hands-on experiences in fishing, archery, shotgun, rifle, wildlife education, and conservation, our campers continue to grow into safe, knowledgeable, and responsible outdoor leaders. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store!

🇺🇸 250 years. One incredible nation. Endless outdoor traditions. Happy 4th of July!!!

This Fourth of July, we’re thankful for the freedoms that allow us to teach the next generation through hunter education, fishing, archery, conservation, and a love for the outdoors.

Here’s to preserving our heritage, protecting our natural resources, and inspiring tomorrow’s outdoor leaders.

From our KOSC family to yours, Happy Independence Day! ❤️🤍💙

Week 1 of KOSC Advanced Camp is off to a great start! ☀️🎣🎯

Beautiful weather, fish being caught, bullseyes being hit, and some impressive shot groups on the range. We’ve loved the focus, enthusiasm, and positive attitudes this group has brought to camp.

Looking forward to an incredible rest of the summer!

Today we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

At KOSC, we believe teaching the next generation about respect, responsibility, stewardship, leadership, and gratitude matters deeply. These moments of standing together, raising the flag, and learning to care for something bigger than ourselves are part of the values we hope campers carry long after camp ends.

We are grateful for those who served, those we’ve lost, and the families who continue to carry their memory forward. From all of us at Kids Outdoor Sports Camp, thank you!

- BEGINNER CAMP

A safe, supportive place for kids to begin their Hunter Education journey.

Every outdoorsman, hunter, conservationist, and leader starts somewhere. At KOSC, campers learn through hands-on experiences guided by experienced instructors and positive role models.

Campers work toward their Hunter Education Certification (test at the end) while learning firearm safety, archery, conservation, outdoor responsibility, and foundational marksmanship skills — alongside fishing, camp activities, cabin life, and new friendships.

For many families, this is a camper’s first overnight camp experience, and we deeply value the trust that comes with that.
