Summer is often full, but it can also be a season to return to the practices that help us feel more present and steady.

Whether through writing, reading, reflection, creativity, or time spent outdoors, small practices can help us process what we carry and reconnect with what matters.

At HannaHow, we see well-being as part of trauma-informed and healing-centered work. When helpers are supported, teams become stronger, care becomes more sustainable, and communities benefit.

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to thank everyone who joined the conversation, shared resources, attended events, asked questions, and helped make mental health part of our community dialogue.

But the conversation does not end here.

At Hanna Center, we believe mental health awareness is not limited to one month. It is part of the everyday work of building stronger families, healthier communities, and more supportive systems of care.

We invite you to stay connected, continue learning, and explore the resources available through Hanna Center and HannaHow, our training platform designed to support trauma-informed care, healing-centered practices, and the people who serve others.

Thank you for being part of this important work. Let’s keep the conversation going all year long.

We’re excited to introduce HannaHow’s Whole Athlete Educational Program, a new mental health and resilience curriculum created to support student-athletes as whole people.

Developed in partnership with Kurt David of Change Like a Champion, the program helps athletic communities address the pressures today’s athletes face—from academics and performance to burnout, identity, recruitment, social media, and life beyond sport.

Because athletic development is not just about training the body. It’s also about helping young people build regulation, resilience, belonging, and purpose.

🧠 Join Us During Mental Health Awareness Month
As part of Mental Health Awareness Month, Hanna Center is offering a free virtual session on Trauma-Informed Care for Helpers.

This one-hour introduction is designed for people working in schools, nonprofits, healthcare, social services, and other helping roles. Together, we’ll explore how understanding trauma can strengthen the way we respond, build trust, and care for others while also supporting the wellbeing of providers.

We’ll cover topics like trauma, toxic stress, ACEs, survival responses, protective factors, and the benefits of trauma-informed practice for both survivors and helpers.
We’ll also spotlight Hanna Ahead, Hanna Center’s early psychosis program serving Sonoma County youth ages 12–25 with bilingual care and county-wide access.

Healing-centered service begins with a simple shift: seeing people beyond what happened to them.

At HannaHow, our trainings help teams move from response to relationship, from support to empowerment, and from trauma awareness to practices that help individuals, families, and communities heal.

Our Healing-Centered Service course is part of a growing library designed for professionals, organizations, educators, and caregivers who want to strengthen the way they serve while also protecting the wellbeing of their teams. HannaHow’s courses are built to support trauma-informed learning, practical scenarios, professional development, and more resilient teams.

Because healing is not just an outcome.
It is something we practice together.

The wisdom already exists in the communities we serve. 🌱

At Hanna How, we believe trauma-informed care is not something you bring in and place on top of people. It is something you build alongside the practitioners, educators, caregivers, and leaders who already know their communities best.

That is why our work is focused on supporting, connecting, and strengthening what is already there. We want to help teams build on local knowledge, deepen their capacity, and create systems of care that truly work for young people and families.

Because lasting impact does not come from replacing community wisdom. It comes from investing in it.

Strong teams don't just happen—they're built.

They're built through shared language, intentional culture, and training that helps people understand themselves and each other more deeply.

Trauma-informed practice isn't limited to clinical settings. It's a framework for any organization whose work involves people, and that's most of us.

When teams understand how stress and trauma affect behavior, communication improves, conflict decreases, and staff stay longer.

HannaHow delivers that training at scale, with flexible options designed for teams of 10 to 200+.

If you're ready to invest in your team's long-term strength, we'd love to connect.
