FISH volunteer drivers provided 146 rides in September, including 34 rides to dialysis and 66 rides to other out-of-town medical appointments. That's a big increase from our monthly average of 100 rides in 2025! We are thankful to all of our drivers and ride finders, and warmly welcome our newest volunteers, Patti, Janet, Linda, and Richard. After 16 years as our Executive Director, Sandy Piotter has officially retired from her leadership role at FISH of Sonoma Valley.

Sandy’s total dedication and wise leadership helped to build FISH into the vibrant and respected community organization that it is today. She has led FISH through massive wildfires, the COVID pandemic, and the constant challenges of serving the growing and changing needs of the Valley.

We will miss Sandy’s leadership in the Executive Director role, but Sandy is not going away. She will continue her 30+ years as a FISH volunteer in special programs and projects, where her talents, experience, and commitment are invaluable.

FISH was proud to be a sponsor of the Back to School Health Fair and support our local students with new backpacks and supplies. The kids had a lot of fun with our fishing game and so did we! School starts Monday, drive carefully!
