Still thinking about this one from our Sonoma 1BC field day last week 🦠

Grayson Hartley has been building on Preston’s regenerative foundation since he arrived in 2018. In the video, he walks us through the compost tea brewer he’s set up at

Compost tea multiplies the beneficial bacteria, fungi, and other microorganisms already present in good compost, and delivers them across the vineyard at scale. A single 1000-litre brew from a small amount of high-quality compost can cover several hectares, applied as a foliar spray or direct to the vineyard floor. It’s a low-input way to keep building the soil food web.

Thanks Grayson for sharing this 🙏

What a couple of days at the World Living Soils Forum in Arles, France last week!🌱

Becky moderated two panels: one on water and soil as a connected cycle, and one on biodiversity as an essential ally for healthy farms. Stephen joined discussions on building consumer demand for regenerative products and on the role retailers can play in driving the shift forward.

So much energy in that room. Regenerative agriculture is moving fast, and it was inspiring to see it being taken seriously at this level 🌍

Second Sonoma 1BC Field Day at did not disappoint 🪱

Grayson Hartley ( ) walked us through the regenerative practices used in the vineyard, including a two-mile hedgerow bordering the creek and vineyard that’s been growing since 1998! With an average vine age of 42 years and strict no-till since 2021, there was plenty to learn and be inspired by.

Thank you to Grayson and the whole Preston team for hosting our second Sonoma One Block Challenge field day 🐝🐞🦋

Paso One Block Challenge Field Day at CASS Winery did not disappoint 🌱

Pheromone traps, sap analysis, and a conversation about why multi-family cover crop diversity is where it’s at. Jordan Lonborg and Caine Thompson brought some brilliant insights on reading plant health through leaf brix and sap data.

A huge thank you to CASS Winery for hosting and to everyone who joined us on the day 🪲🐛🐞

He dropped by yesterday for our tasting of side by side comparison of wines made from grapes farmed with grazing cattle and those without.
