A lot of you have been asking why 101.3FM has been quiet lately.
When we set out to build a solar-powered station, we figured it’d be pretty straightforward. But mid-build, the landscape changed fast, and we wound up launching in a whole new reality.
Navigating technical hiccups and unexpected hurdles pushed us to adapt quickly, but our core mission has never wavered. We are using this temporary downtime to ensure every piece of hardware is dialed in.
Here’s the big news: we’re moving the FM station to a hilltop location so we can give you a way cleaner, stronger signal on 101.3.
While we set everything up over the next month, you can still listen to us streaming live 24/7 at Camaradio.org.
This new vantage point will dramatically expand our broadcast footprint, allowing us to reach more homes, cars, and local businesses across the valley without line-of-sight static or dropping out.
Moving isn't easy—we’re basically building the setup over again from the ground up.
If you've got a few bucks to spare, any donation helps us cover equipment costs and get back on the physical dial for good.
From securing specialized antennas to re-engineering our power configuration, these critical upgrades take real financial support.
Every single dollar raised goes directly toward getting our signal broadcast loudly and clearly once again.
Give what you can, hit the link in our bio to chip in, or just share this post to help get the word out.
Let’s keep independent community radio going strong in Ventura County! Even telling a neighbor or posting on social media makes an enormous difference for a non-profit station like ours.
Thank you for standing behind grassroots broadcasting and keeping our local voice alive!
