🌸⚜️🌸So we now have an up and running online business where the proceeds go to support Camarillo wildlife. We have our booth at antique adventures but now we have an IG online sales page full of fantastic vintage items with shipping available throughout the US. Its been running smoothly now for several months and I post lots of wildlife snippets in the stories. I had tried this once before but really didnt know what I was doing. Even if you are not a vintage shopper, consider following the page anyway as the number of followers is of course helpful...and its free and the photos may give you a little inspiration in your own home!!! 🌸⚜️🌸

It’s been a while since I’ve posted here but that doesn’t mean we are not just as busy helping wildlife as we do every year. It’s just that Ive taken on another project to help pay for the costs of running a wildlife rescue which is certainly not getting any cheaper. More to follow in the next few posts. Some of these pics are from release day as we empty out the aviaries after the birds have either healed or grown.

This adult towhee made the news as the Crew found him laying in the street suffering from smoke inhalation. thankfully they picked him up as he would have been run over. After flushing his eyes and a few days of rest we were able to release him.

🌿🌿A beautiful female coyote was found hanging in a tree and rescued by ventura county animal services who brought her to us. She had several scrapes on both her front and hind legs but the front legs appeared to be where she was caught as they were quite swollen. Thankfully nothing was broken. She stayed very quiet for the first few days but after about 10 days of care she started to become very stressed being in captivity. The swelling had gone down and she was using both legs perfectly , although the scrapes were not quite healed over completely. We decided to go ahead and release her back where she came from so she did not injure herself trying to escape🌿🌿

🍂This Goose had been seen limping terribly at 2 locations where she had been flying back and forth. It took several weeks of trying, but finally a few really dedicated people were able to catch her and bring her to me to see what the problem was which wasnt too hard to figure out. She had fishing line embedded in her leg in several places which would have resulted in her loosing it , if not removed. We were able to get it all off and wrapped the leg with some healing ointment and after about a week the swelling had all gone down. She gained full use of her leg the following week and is now back with her flock 🍂🍂
