Hope all enjoyed their weekend. Just wanted to send out a quick note of thanks for everyone making our TT an overwhelming success yesterday and truly in Lew's honor, 20 years of the event and another stop in the 2026 Time Trial Cup, our 3rd of 4 this year. Wonderful weather, 19 starters for Team Somerset out of the 96, which is amazing!! It's a broad team effort and shows the commitment and depth of this team. Organizationally, the Dan(s) were a huge part of the event success as always with set up, supplies, outreach, prizes, Bike Reg, etc. Charles Hall stepping in as a partner on Event Directing , assisting, prizes, with dad Kevin coming in to help as a marshal. And certainly thanks to POPs and Marc for prizes and shop support. Quick shout out to all those and sorry if I missed anyone:
* Registration - Fran, Lauren, Dottie + anyone who stepped in to support such as Dan Reiss, Marc P, Charles, etc.
* Set-up - Dan D, Rod, Josef
* Whip/Starting - Dom, Jim I, and Joe Saling
* Marshals at the various turns - Lauren/Mark, Kevin, Josef,Steve, Marc P. + a friend brought in,. Greg/Maria Schutske, Pat Gellineau, and Paul Tippettt
Additionally, many thanks to Erik Fargo, Marc P, and others that helped support setting things up, take down, cleaning up, handling financial items etc. With all of our resources, I am sure I missed people, but much appreciation. While the next TT Cup event is not ours, Watts Up is looking for volunteers for anyone not racing on Saturday, June 20. If you are interested/available, let one of the board or team event directors know and we can connect you to John Sedlak and the Watts Up Team. Our next team event, and last TT for the year run by Team Somerset, will be the NJ State Championship at Kingwood on Rt 29 and Federal Twist Vineyard in Stockton. That is on Saturday, July 18. We will also be moving our team ride next weekend to go north to ride the Watts Up Course. More information on that shortly. Have a great week!
