PADRES LATINOS — THIS IS WHO WE ARE.
Yesterday was an amazing celebration, and our hearts are full of gratitude.
To our incredible Padres Latinos Somerville, MA volunteers, coordinators, and staff — THANK YOU. For four months, you worked tirelessly, often putting in long hours to plan, organize, prepare, and make this celebration possible. You gave your time, your energy, and your hearts to our community — and we all felt it yesterday.
What a beautiful celebration we all created!
We also want to extend our sincere gratitude to Jake Wilson, Councilor Kristen Strezo, Somerville City Councilor At-Large, Ben Ewen-Campen for State Rep, Wheeler for Somerville, Jesse Clingan, Link and for joining us and spending time with our community. Your presence mattered.
But yesterday was about more than an event. Yesterday reminded us of who we are!
There were moments when it would have been easy to step back. Instead, we chose courage over fear. We chose to show up. We chose to stand together. We chose community.
And that is courage!
Courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is feeling afraid and still choosing to show up.
Yesterday, we laughed. We danced. We ate. We celebrated. We hugged. We shared our culture. And through it all, we became stronger and more resilient together.
To everyone who came yesterday — our immense gratitude to you. Your presence mattered. You reminded us that community is built by people who show up for one another. Special thank you to Connexion and Pastor Jordan to his commitment with the immigrant community. Thank you The Somerville Community Growing Center for providing a safe and beautiful space to celebrate.
To our volunteers, families, neighbors, community partners, elected officials, and everyone who helped make this day possible:
THANK YOU.
No matter what comes our way, we move forward — together.

¡Gracias, gracias, gracias!
¡Viva Padres Latinos!
¡Viva nuestra comunidad!
