SCC is looking for a Homeownership & Financial Specialist to join our Asset Building team. You'd lead our First-Time Homebuyer seminars and Financial Literacy classes, and coach Somerville residents one-on-one as they build budgets, repair credit, and work toward owning a home.

If you love helping people reach big financial milestones and want to be part of a small team with a big heart, this one's for you.

HUD Homebuyer Counseling Certificate required.

Bilingual candidates (Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole) especially encouraged to apply. Full-time, $53–56K.

A great morning with Secretary Juana Matias and the Homeownership Action Network, working on how we expand homeownership for people of color and first-generation buyers.

For families who've been locked out of the housing market, that first home means stability, equity, and a foothold for the next generation. We're proud to be at the table with state leaders and partners committed to homeownership for all.

Last week, Nixon and Clifford presented at the Digital JEDI Consortium's Digital Inclusion Solutions event, sharing the hands-on work they do every day to help close the digital divide right here in Somerville.

Did you know? The impact of SCC's digital equity work has been recognized nationally - our program is featured by the National Digital Inclusion Alliance for helping local residents earn the skills and devices to enroll in college, with several now pursuing degrees at local community colleges.

Our team joined advocates, partners, and neighbors from across the Commonwealth to stand up for the policies that shape the lives of the families and communities we serve every single day.

We raised our voices for:

Affordable housing investment
Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act (T**A)
Real Estate Transfer Fee
Rent stabilization
…and the broader slate of legislative initiatives fighting for housing justice and economic equity across Massachusetts.
