Carnaval is coming to the heart of the East Somerville on Sunday, June 7th from 2 to 6 PM! Join us for a celebration of live music, food, and family-friendly activities inspired by cultures from around the world as Broadway is transformed into a vibrant, walkable celebration of community and culture.

SomerStreets: Carnaval is co-produced by East Somerville Main Streets and the Somerville Arts Council, and will take place on Broadway from McGrath Hwy to Pennsylvania Ave. The severe weather date is Sunday, June 14th.

Today we’re celebrating our Community Hero, Sonia Conde-Falcon! 🎉
Sonia is someone who shows up for East Somerville again and again with generosity, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to her neighbors. Through her work with Padres Latinos, leadership of the Connexion Closet, and countless efforts connecting residents to critical resources, Sonia has become a trusted and deeply valued presence in the community.
Whether she’s organizing free clothing distribution for families or arranging free Zumba classes every Saturday at Connexion, Sonia leads with care and action. Throughout the year, she works tirelessly to make sure people feel supported, welcomed, and seen.
East Somerville is stronger because of people like Sonia. Thank you for all that you do for our neighborhood. ❤️

Our first neighborhood Clean Up of the year is coming up!

Join us on Saturday, April 25 from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM as we come together to help beautify East Somerville. We’ll meet at the East Branch Library before heading out to clean and care for our neighborhood.

To get everyone started, we’ll have our traditional coffee and pastries from Ola Café to fuel the morning and keep the energy high.

We hope to see you there!
