As a follow up to our El Punto Energy Fair last month, Salem Alliance for the Environment & North Shore CDC collaborated with CREW Climate to develop an engaging co-learning event about climate change, high heat, and resident needs and response. We also reviewed data on high heat locally provided by Salem State Geography 💥⚡️🔥

Our gathering provided a meal from Tipico Express, interpretation in Spanish, a raffle for AC units, and cooling kit giveaways. 😎❄️

Nights like this remind us that social resilience is key to climate resilience and that residents should be at the forefront on developing our lived environment. 💚🌞

Do you live in a flood-prone Massachusetts community? Our team, coastal planners, and state entities like CZM and the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) need your input!
