Somers Village Players Dedicated to offering entertainment, training, and education in the performing arts. During the summer of 2013, Pied Pipers Productions was formed.

The Players strive to provide creative outlets for all ages in a spirit of fellowship and fun. In 1971, a group of Somers residents got together and began a theatre group. Every year since then the Village Players has produced at least one play every year. Musicals, dramas and comedies have been staged in schools, town hall, at Camp Aya Po and recently at Joanna’s Banquet Hall. In addition, the Players have supported the Somers High Drama Club and sponsored summer classes for Children’s Theatre. Pied Piper produces a musical with a multi-generational cast and crew that presents an annual family-friendly show specifically chosen for a youthful audience. The Village Players have also given thousands of dollars in scholarships. They meet and rehearse at Millpond Playhouse on School Street in Somersville. The Village Players is a not for profit 501(c)(3) organization, incorporated in the State of Connecticut. Membership in the Players is open to anyone wanting to participate in any way to promote community theatre in Somers and communities nearby.

FINAL WEEKEND: Enfield’s Valley Rep Theater presents Love, S*x and the IRS on Friday, May 1 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 2 at 1 p.m. at CT State Asnuntuck.

It is fun for the whole family. The show is a frantic farce by Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore about two broke NYC musicians, Jon and Leslie, who file joint tax returns as a married couple to save money. When the IRS investigates, Leslie disguises himself as a woman, triggering chaotic lies involving a fiancée, an unexpected mother, and a nosy landlord.

Tickets are $25 for general admission and $20 for students and seniors.

Order online at www.valleyrep.com or pay in cash or check at the door.

Tonight the name on everybody’s lips is CHICAGO.

Opening night has arrived and we begin this run with a sold out house. This incredible company is ready to bring all that jazz to the Northampton Center for the Arts.

The cast is waiting in the wings. The band is ready. The lights are about to come up.

Thank you to our audiences for making this run completely sold out before the curtain even rises. We cannot wait to share this show with you tonight. 🎶✨

GREASE AUDITIONS! 💃🕺 Join us on Sunday, March 22 or Monday, March 23 at 6pm for open auditions at the Enfield Annex, 124 North Maple Street, Enfield, CT. We are seeking teen and adult performers. Callbacks are by invite only on Friday, March 27.

Visit operahouseplayers.org/audition for details.

It’s 1959 at Rydell High and the too-cool-for-school "Burger Palace Boys" are stealing hubcaps and acting tough, while their gum-snapping, chain-smoking counterparts, the "Pink Ladies" are looking hot in bobby sox and pedal pushers 💖

We join them for a year of coming-of-age trials as they navigate the complexities of peer pressure, politics, personal core values, and love, through such hit songs as "Greased Lightnin'," "Hopelessly Devoted to You," "We Go Together," and "Mooning.”

Grease is among the world’s most popular musicals! This production will include the infamous music from the 2007 revival stage show and the cult classic film ⚡

Performance dates: July 31–August 16, 2026

Directors: Stevie Norman & Michael King
Music Director: Graham Christian
Choreographer: Chantel Martin
Stage Manager: Victoria DeCosmo
Producers: Eric Boucher & Lindsay Ryan Thomas

We are a community theater and do not provide compensation or housing.
