Tickets are on sale, but only for a few more days, for our Baskets, Buffet & Mentalist fundraiser, which will be held on Sunday, October 25, at Somerville Elks. It will be a fun afternoon with a hot buffet lunch, entertainment, a basket raffle, 50/50, and a Super 50/50.

Good news! There are still some seats available for our upcoming fundraiser and the discounted price has been extended through Oct. 15th! Men and women that attended last year had a great time and complimented both the food and prizes.

Our fundraiser at the Elks last fall was very well-received, with attendees complimenting the quality of the food, raffle baskets, and entertainment, as well as saying that they thought the event was very well organized!

Crafting opportunity! We're sponsoring a day-long "crop" on Saturday, September 19, at Somerset Presbyterian Church. Crafters are welcome to come and socialize while working on projects of their own choosing. Lunch and other refreshments will be provided.
At this event we're also offering a quick class on creating simple album pages and/or greeting cards for anyone that would like to learn about these paper crafts! No need to come (or pay) for the entire day if you'd just like to attend a beginner "Make-n-Take" session.

Our next meeting, on Tuesday, April 14, will feature Lauren Theis, Director of Education at Raritan Headwaters, who will discuss what a watershed is, where the Raritan Watershed is located, and the importance of protecting our water supply.

Franklin Woman's Club meets from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM in the Franklin High School cafeteria. Guests are welcome. We recommend you arrive 10 minutes early to sign in. And while it's fine to just show up, it's even better if you contact us at [email protected] to let us know you're planning to come. Any woman that cares about our community is encouraged to see what we're all about!

We’re looking forward to our next meeting on Tuesday starting at 6:30 PM in the Franklin High School cafeteria. Cindy Williams Newsome, a history and inspirational writer, will speak about the founding of Hobbstown, a unique African-American community in Bridgewater.
We are opening this event to the public. If you have friends or family members, including spouses and students, and/or know of a group who would be interested in learning about this chapter of local history, please pass the information along to them. It's helpful for anyone attending to RSVP, so we can plan for adequate seating. RSVP can be sent to the Club email [email protected]
