Let’s give it up for the LCR Chaplain, that loves to pour into LCR clients, and the LCSL residents!!!
Some people show up to work and others show up with purpose.
Donnie Worley is one of those people whose heart beats in rhythm with our mission here at Lake Cumberland Recovery. As our Chaplain, Donnie doesn’t see what he does as a “job” he calls it a calling.
Each day, you’ll find him leading Spiritual Hour at Promises of Grace, pouring encouragement into our clients, and reminding them of their worth. Most nights, he’s still out there visiting sober living houses, sharing hope in the middle of the night, or helping someone get the essentials they need. Clothes, shoes, a listening ear - Donnie is the kind of man who just makes things happen.
He sends daily devotionals to staff at 4 AM, often before the world wakes up, because he truly believes in fueling others with faith and love before the day begins. Whether he’s at POG, the hotel, or hosting Celebrate Recovery, Donnie carries the same message everywhere he goes: love first, always.
Missy, his wife, says it best…
“He lives and breathes our calling. I see him as the heart of LCR.”
We’re grateful for his example, his compassion, and the steady love he brings into this ministry every single day. Thank you, Donnie for showing us what it looks like to serve with your whole heart.
