We’re already in full gear preparing for our October 8th event, and we’re excited for what’s ahead! In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more details about some of the great items that will be featured at our Tricky Tray.

K9 Gunner’s handler shared something with us today that says it all.

During a joint operation with the prosecutor’s office, Gunner conducted a vehicle search that led to the seizure of 41 grams of crack co***ne.

That’s not just a number. That’s lives impacted. That’s danger removed from our communities. That’s families potentially spared from addiction and its consequences.

And moments like this don’t happen by chance.

They happen because of the generosity of our sponsors… because of the people who donate… and because of everyone who shows up and supports our fundraising events.

When you support the donation of a K9, you’re not just funding a dog—you’re putting a highly trained partner on the street who is actively making a difference.

Gunner definitely earned that pup cup today. And we’re proud to stand behind teams like his.

It’s hard to believe we’ve already started planning for this year’s fundraiser. Your continued support and attendance mean a great deal to us, and we truly appreciate it.

As we begin preparing, we are seeking assistance from our supporters and community partners. In addition to joining us at the event, we are currently looking for corporate donations, event sponsors, donations of new gift items, and batches of items that can be included in our swag bags.

On Saturday, March 7th, the RBK Foundation donated individual medical kits to Northeast Search and Rescue, Inc. — a fellow nonprofit organization dedicated to helping others.

Northeast Search and Rescue assists local and state agencies when someone becomes lost in wooded areas. No matter the weather or conditions, their volunteers train continuously to sharpen their tracking abilities and the skills of the K9s many of them work alongside. Their dedication and readiness can make all the difference when someone needs to be found and brought home safely.

The RBK Foundation is proud to support their mission.

If Brian were here and heard about this group, there’s no doubt he would be showing up at their next training as a volunteer.

As we step into a brand new year, I just want to take a moment to thank all of our volunteers and those who support the Remembering Brian Kanterman foundation Your support has allowed us to countinue our efforts to purchase K9’s, PTSD dogs for veterans and train Volunteer EMT’s and Firefighters

As we celebrate the new year, let us also say thank you to all who wear a uniform—and to the support personnel and families who stand behind them. Your sacrifice, dedication, and service do not go unnoticed, and we are deeply grateful for all that you do.

As we approach the holiday season, my Family and I would like to take a moment to thank all of those who serve and protect our communities—our dispatchers, firefighters, police officers, EMTs, our brave military, and the support staff who are always ready to answer the call.

Your dedication, courage, and willingness to respond at any hour, on any day of the week, form the backbone of the safety and security we rely on daily.

Many people don’t realize the true value of K9s to the communities they serve.

Beyond the cost of the dog itself, a K9 program requires a specially equipped vehicle, extensive training for both the dog and handler, and a secure outdoor kennel with heat and air conditioning. These incredible animals are not pets — they are always on duty, working to protect and serve.

Some people say it’s not worth the investment. They’re wrong.

➡️ Drug K9s remove dangerous substances from our streets. The drugs they find could save dozens of lives — or maybe just one. But what if that one life was someone you love?

➡️ Bomb K9s not only locate explosives, but they also help ensure the safety and peace of mind of entire communities by verifying that threats are clear.

➡️ Electronic Detection K9s are trained to find hard drives, thumb drives, and other devices used by predators to store and share illegal materials. Their work helps protect children — maybe even someone in your own family.

At The RBK Foundation, we proudly fund the purchase of K9s and their protective vests. Each K9 is trained to meet the specific needs of the community it serves.

We stand with our law enforcement partners — and we are deeply thankful for everyone who stands with us.

I wanted to extend a personal and heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended our event on October 9. The 2025 Remembering Brian Kanterman Foundation (RBK) Annual Tricky Tray was an overwhelming success. Through the tireless dedication of our volunteers and the incredible generosity of our sponsors and attendees, we not only surpassed last year’s achievements but will also be able to make a significant impact in the year ahead.
Thanks to this year’s event, the Foundation will be donating two K9s, along with protective vests and go-bags equipped with ballistic medical kits, to the Brielle Police Department and the Ocean County Sheriffs Department. In addition, the funds raised will support the training of PTSD K9s for veterans and provide assistance to volunteer firefighters and EMTs through equipment and advanced training programs.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this event possible. Your continued support ensures that Brian’s legacy—his passion for helping communities, first responders, and veterans—lives on through every life we touch.
