🚨SASC needs referees!
You have to be at least 13 and have all the paperwork and training completed along with an in person training. This is open to all: adults, players, or anyone!

I arranged for another in person training course to come to Somerset for us.

It’s August 30th 9-12am at the high school field.

If your player is interested in joining our referee crew and making some money please message me either by text or email and I will assist you with the onboarding. There are some costs to start, those refunded after a season of reffing.

April showers bring May flowers...and...SPRING SOCCER!!! We are so excited we've been able to start practices this week. Games will be starting before we know it!
Thank you to everyone for your support and patience during the major transition (finalizing the transition to a new club with brand new board members) we've been undertaking. We hope everyone has an amazing season. Please reach out to us if there are any questions or concerns. Have a great season!

Coaches,

Our coaches' meeting is confirmed for this Wednesday, April 23rd, at 7:00 PM. We’ll meet at the concession stand by the soccer fields, weather permitting. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll move the meeting inside the junior high.

This meeting should take no more than 30–45 minutes of your time.

We’ll be handing out:

Team rosters for each division

All rules and regulations

Parent information and consent forms (only one form is needed per family if there are siblings)

Season schedules for all games and divisions (pending finalization—hoping to have them ready by Tuesday; if not, we’ll arrange a pickup time)

Coaches’ bags/balls

Uniforms for each team in each division

It is the responsibility of each coach to ensure all players receive their uniforms.

We’ll also review the build-out line rule for all divisions from 4U through 10U.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this time of transition for the Somerset Area Soccer Club's In-House Program. Like you, we’re excited to get the season started and have been working diligently behind the scenes to prepare for a great soccer season.

We’re currently tying up a few final details before scheduling our coaches’ meeting and distributing team schedules. We know everyone is eager to begin practices; however, due to recent less-than-ideal weather, we are unable to access the fields in accordance with district rules.

Thank you for bearing with us as we continue doing our best to ensure a successful and enjoyable season. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

We are still planning on moving goals tonight at 6:00. We will have a trailer and truck. We really need the manpower to help. It won’t take long; any help is greatly appreciated.

Attention All SASC In-House Coaches (8U, 10U, 12U Divisions)

This is a reminder for all coaches participating in the upcoming SASC in-house draft for divisions 8U, 10U, and 12U. Please note that ONLY these divisions are involved in the draft process. 4UPG, 6U, and 14U divisions will have teams created separately and do not need to attend the draft.

Date of draft - This Saturday April 5th.

Draft Day Schedule – Junior High Cafeteria
• 8:00 AM – Arrive and check in
• 8:15 AM – Overview of draft rules, distribution of draft sheets and rosters (all sheets to be turned in to Jordan after each division’s draft)
• 8:30 AM – 8U Draft Begins
• Coaches not involved in 10U or 12U may turn in forms and leave after completion
• 9:15 AM – Wrap up 8U and prepare for next division
• 9:30 AM – 10U Draft Begins
• Coaches not involved in 12U may turn in forms and leave after completion
• 10:15 AM – Wrap up 10U and prepare for final draft
• 10:30 AM – 12U Draft Begins
• 11:15 AM – Wrap up final draft, turn in all remaining rosters
• 11:30 AM – Draft concludes

Please note: There will be a Coaches Meeting to be held the following week, not on draft day. More details on date, time, and location will be shared soon.

Spring Soccer Season is Almost Here – It’s DRAFT Time!

Get ready – the spring soccer season is kicking off soon, and that means it’s time for the 2025 Draft!

When: Saturday, April 5th
Where: Somerset Junior High Cafeteria
Time: Doors open at 8:00 AM | Draft begins promptly at 8:30 AM
(We have the space until 11:30 AM)

Important Info for Coaches:
• If you are coaching or planning to coach, please arrive no later than 8:20 AM.
• We’ll be drafting for divisions 8U through 12U, in numerical order.
• Once your team(s) are drafted, you are free to leave if you’re not involved in the next division.
• If you haven’t submitted your clearances online, please bring them with you.

After the draft, teams will be finalized and submitted to the board and coach admin.

Before the season begins, we’ll hold a brief coaches meeting on the fields to go over final details, distribute teams, schedules, and more.

We’re excited to kick off another great season – see you at the draft!

6U, 8U and 10U are the three that need the help.

12U is about filled and 14U is good. PG4U is about completed also. Let us know, we are willing to help and offer advice on coaching strategies.
