Renovation work continues at Somerset County Library. The library has remained open while renovations continue.

Here's a little glimpse of the work in progress on the child-size portal into the new children's library and play area. Thanks to Grant of Mid-State Construction for allowing us to snap a photo! This Project was financed by a grant from the federal Department of the Treasury, under the administration of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority.

The new children's library and play area will improve access to early educational opportunities for children, especially those from birth through kindergarten.

See page 12 of the catalog for additional SCFLS STEAM Initiative Camps being offered at Meyersdale Public Library and Windber Public Library. Somerset County Library activities are taking place at the Somerset County Technology Center - SCTC this summer due to renovation activities at the library.
