A huge thank you to Ahsan Zia for organizing a fantastic evening of mini golf and networking in Oceanport, NJ, on July 24!

While the group may have been small, it was certainly mighty. Attendees enjoyed great conversations, plenty of laughs, a little friendly competition on the course, and the opportunity to strengthen connections with fellow PMINJ members.

Thank you, Ahsan, for bringing our community together and creating such a fun and engaging event. We appreciate your leadership and everyone who joined us for a wonderful evening.

We look forward to seeing you at our next PMINJ event! Check out our upcoming meetups: https://lnkd.in/e5DTgz97

August Celebrates Courage, Culture & Compassion

This month, we recognize meaningful observances that remind us of the power of inclusion, service, and respect for all people.
1️⃣ International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples (August 9) recognizing the rich cultures, traditions, knowledge, and contributions of Indigenous peoples around the world.
2️⃣ World Humanitarian Day (August 19) celebrating the courage and commitment of humanitarian workers who support communities in times of crisis and need.
3️⃣ Women’s Equality Day (August 26) honoring the women who fought for the right to vote and recognizing the ongoing journey toward equity and opportunity.
At PMI New Jersey (PMINJ), we believe that understanding and appreciating diverse experiences strengthens our communities and our profession. Together, we can foster a culture where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives.

This month, we celebrate the many ways people strengthen and uplift one another. Disability Pride Month honors the voices, identities, and contributions of the disability community. Independence Day reminds us of the ideals that continue to shape our collective journey. And the International Day of Friendship encourages us to foster relationships that cross cultures, backgrounds, and borders. July invites us to lead with empathy, connection, and respect.

Success in projects is driven by people, and with over 20% of the workforce identifying as neurodiverse, project managers must adapt their leadership strategies to leverage this cognitive diversity. Join Speakers Tanya Boyd and Karthik Raghuraman for this session that will explore how neuroscience, sociology, and scientific methods intersect with project management to create inclusive environments.

Attendees will leave with evidence-based techniques to foster psychological safety, unlock innovation, and enhance team performance through inclusive leadership grounded in science.
