Hello friends of Dressed!

We are rapidly approaching our Prom Pop-Up Shop event! Registration for Wednesday, 3/11, is full, but we have plenty of space for shoppers on Thursday, 3/12.

If you are a student in Somerset County or know one who may attend prom this spring, please share this link with them. We have a great selection of dresses! We encourage any Somerset County student in grades 9-12 to come see what we have to offer, whether or not they've fully decided to go to prom because this is when the dresses will be available. We are not able to offer one on one appointments for prom dress shopping outside of these dates, so it doesn't hurt to sign up. What could beat finding the perfect dress (and shoes and accessories if needed!) for $20?

Hello Friends of Dressed!

Thanks to the generosity of many in our community, we are able to provide this year's Prom pop-up shop to Somerset County's high school students!

If you're not famliar with Dressed and the service it provides, read on for the basics. If you are familiar, scroll to the bottom of the post, and click the sign up link to register to shop with us in March!

Dressed is a voluneer-driven nonprofit organization that provides two shopping events each year to get formal wear into the hands of students for a very low cost. Our pop-up shop takes place this year on March 11th and 12th from 5-8:30 pm each evening. We have dresses in an array of styles and colors from size 000-30, and for a $20 cash deposit, students can take home a dress that makes them feel beautiful, as well as shoes and accessories if they find something that suits them!

While shoppers are not required to register, registration is strongly recommended because it helps us stay organized and meet everyone's needs as efficiently as possible. Please note, your registration is not an "appointment," but it reserves your space to shop with us on the night you register.
Students who do not register or who show up on a night other than that on which they registered are served as "walk-in" shoppers. This means they will be served after any registered shoppers are served, even if those registered shoppers are in line behind them or show up after them.

We will publish a separate link with some more information. If you think you are interested in joining us to shop, please click on the link and fill out the form. You should receive confirmation that we've received your form within a week of when you've filled it out.

Thank you all for your great response to our volunteer link!

We also have opportunities for student volunteers. If you are a student in high school in Somerset County, you are welcome to join us as a volunteer, too. This is a great way to serve your community and collect hours for goals set by your clubs and service organizations.

Typically, students help to move dresses from our storage building to our event location before and after the shopping event. During the event, students help to keep the inventory neat and return dresses to racks so that they're ready for shoppers to view throughout the event.

If you would like to volunteer, please complete the linked form. A representative from Dressed will be in touch to let you know when you will be scheduled to help out based on your availability.

Please note: we need the most help with clean up on Friday, 3/13. We are appreciative of any amount of time people can come and help carry dresses!

Hello Friends of Dressed! We hope you are all doing well.

This post includes a link for adult volunteers to join us to help with the Dressed spring Prom pop-up shop, an event that helps get formalwear into the hands of students at low to no cost. It is an undertaking that takes many hands. So far, we are still in search of at least 5 more volunteers on Tuesday, 3/10, 10-12 more volunteers on Wednesday, 3/11, and Thursday, 3/12, and at least 10 more volunteers on Friday, 3/13. Without a significant commitment of more hands, we will not be able to provide this service this year. Please use the link below to let us know when you can join us to pitch in! Even though the groundhog predicted six more weeks of winter, we have started thinking thoughts of spring and prom! We hope to hold our Prom Pop-up Shop in March, but we are in need of volunteers to make it happen.
