Second Chance for Animals is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization devoted to enhancing the lives, adoption rates, and experiences of animals living in Shelters. We currently partner with the Franklin Township Animal Shelter in Somerset County, New Jersey.

It’s a happily ever after for 2-3 year old pit bull Ivy who was found as a starving stray and found a temporary home at the shelter where she blossomed into a happy, healthy dog again. You can’t spell Clover without “love” and that’s just what this sweet girl is hoping for! She is 8-10 months old and as sweet as can be! Clover likes to “boop” her nose on you and turns on her purr machine while interacting with people. She is a friendly and social kitty who would do well in just about any home with children of all ages. She may enjoy the companionship of another cat as well. This precious girl is Jelly Bean and she is waiting for a forever home at the Franklin Township Animal Shelter. She is a shy 10-month-old kitten who would love a quiet home with nice big windows for her bird-watching pleasure. Jelly Bean takes a bit of time to warm up to people, and will allow some gentle pets once she feels comfortable. An adult-only home or one with old children is recommended for Jelly Bean. She may find comfort in the presence of another cat to build her confidence. If you might be interested in adopting Jelly Bean, please visit the shelter T-F 12-3 or Sat 12-5.
