There is a reality people do not like to talk about...hoarding animals. Hoarding is when you have more than you need and definitely more than you can afford.
There are people that love animals so much that they feed them, so they don't starve. They can't afford anything more. And some of them struggle just feeding them. Stop and think about what will happen to them when you can't feed them. They will continue to show up. But yes they will eventually move on if the food supply runs out. How hard will it be for that many to find the next food supply.
Then there are people that love them so much that they take them in, even when they cannot afford to. Stop and think about what will happen to them when you are gone.
You also have the people that don't really love them but they like the idea how they might profit from them, such as making them have multiple litters of babies so they can sell the babies. They often do not vet any of them.
There are some who don't really love them, but they find ways they can benefit from them, like working animals, such as keeping the mice away. They often don't vet them.
Spaying, neutering and feeding really are the bare minimum. If you can't afford it then you can't afford them.
Don't make an animal work for you and not vet them. If they are working for you then that is the least you can do.
For the love of God if you don't love them don't even get them.
If you love them but can't afford what you have there are programs and resources out there to help. But please do not get anymore.
