As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day — attending parades, enjoying backyard picnics, and welcoming the start of summer — we pause to remember the true meaning of this day.

Memorial Day is a time to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice, and the sacrifice carried by their families, is the reason for the freedoms we enjoy each day.

Today, we remember the fallen, we honor their legacy, and we keep their families in our thoughts and prayers.

From all of us at Somerset County Military Family Support Group, we wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

We are beyond grateful for the incredibly generous donation from the Somerset American Legion Ladies Auxiliary's Operation Christmas for the Kids and Veterans. Brenda Stanczyk and Rebecca Martin presented the check.🇺🇸

Your support means more than words can express. Because of your kindness, we are able to continue providing ongoing care packages to those serving so far from home and assistance to the veterans who have given so much.🎗️

It truly takes a community to make this kind of impact, and we are so thankful to have you standing beside us as we work to fulfill our mission. Your generosity will make a real difference — and we couldn’t do this without you.❣️

Due to the weather, **our meeting scheduled for tomorrow evening to pack care packages is canceled**. While we hate to miss time together, your safety comes first! ❄️
Please stay home, stay warm, and stay safe. We’ll be back at it soon—those care packages aren’t going anywhere 💙📦

Through their hard work and dedication at SCI Somerset, they raised funds and chose to donate them to our organization. We are truly grateful for their kindness, effort, and belief in our mission.

Join us for the **Homefront Huddle** at Forbes Trail Brewing from **12:00 PM to 6:00 PM**!

🏕️ Come out, dress warm, and bring a chair — we’re gathering indoors and outdoors, connecting with military families, veterans, and local residents in a relaxed, friendly setting.

🍔 Your appetite and cash are needed (we’ll have food and snacks available). And yes, there will be great beer on tap! 🍻

Games and prizes for all ages!

Let’s build community, honor service, and enjoy a laid-back afternoon together. Feel free to bring friends and spread the word. See you there!
