Today is a special R.E.D. Friday. It is the anniversary of the date that a young hero enlisted in the US Army Reserves. On this day, in 2019, before his senior year of high school, Pvt. Christopher Guillen chose to be in that 1% and enlisted in the Armed Forces. He did not get to serve his beloved country as he was tragically killed in a car crash before he could get his chance to serve. May we always remember those who are willing to sacrifice everything for our freedoms. Remember Chris' family and friends today and Remember Everyone Deployed as well. May they all come home healthy to their loved ones.

Today, we remember all those who gave their lives in service to our nation. May we resolve to be better people, better citizens, more worthy of the sacrifices made for us in the past. May we strive to be a better nation, more worthy of the ones who put on the uniform, who risk their lives, every single day. May we pause today to remember those families who are grieving, and may we stand in the gap to lift their hearts to the one, true God, who brings peace that passes all understanding, and promises to draw near to the brokenhearted.
