There aren’t any decorations at the park. Again this year. 🤔. Two years ago the front gate had wreaths and garland, silver balls and festive bows. Hmm…. Where did all the donations go?

Everyone knew that Al Capone was a ’bad guy yet they couldn’t pin anything on him. Al Capone has ties to the McCourtie Park and seemingly to Somerset Township, Michigan Addison, Michigan

In the “roaring twenties,” he ruled an empire of crime in the Windy City: gambling, prostitution, bootlegging, bribery, narcotics trafficking, robbery, “protection” rackets, and murder. And it seemed that law enforcement couldn’t touch him.

Another point brought up in the recall conversation per the Exponent in a letter to the editor Authored by Curtis Gale is bullet point 1: (Shaw and this board) “Destroying a township park after purportedly ‘selling’ and then claiming ‘not selling’ within the context of an unsigned contract.

In short, the Barnett Park behind the township (where a lot of us used to play co-ed ball on Friday nights to filled stands) (where the fireworks used to be) (remember that one time the fireworks were shooting at us as a canon had fallen over: funny now!) was essentially dismantled (despite investing in a new pitchers mound a few short seasons ago). Given the ‘go ahead by a Somerset Township authority, The park was essentially destroyed before having a signed contract in hand AND THEN the sale fell through. Never had a signed contract yet destroyed the park AND those who dismantled the park, instead of putting the items that they thought salvageable in storage they tossed the items oddly encroaching on the fairway of the 18th hole of the ‘disc golf course and abandoned to the elements to succumbing to rust due to being left in the harsh weather. Your tax dollars at work here. Recall Tim Shaw. This is just the tip of the iceberg. The Somerset Township petition signing for the recall of Elected Officials including Tim Shaw, Somerset Township Supervisor, Mike Bohnet, Somerset Township Clerk, David Pumfrey, Trustee and as of May 31, 2022 the ousting efforts included Josh Bice, treasurer, who resigned shortly after the petition language was submitted.

The Official Language of the recall petitions is: Tim Shaw: Between 11/20/20 and 1/21/21 Somerset board, while Supervisor Tim Shaw was not an approved employee in the Fire department, allowed payments for such Fire Department employment.”

Not approved yet getting paid.

“At the last board meeting, I stated I can understand why they want to recall me” Tim Shaw.
