Kennedy Gaels - Alumni

Kennedy Gaels - Alumni Kennedy Catholic Prep (formerly Kennedy Catholic High School) is home to over 55 years of Gaels. Founded in 1928 by the Sisters of Divine Compassion as St.

Mary’s School in Katonah, the current school was built in 1966 on its present site in a serene 64 acre site setting which includes the natural beauty of a lake and woodlands. Here, Kennedy Catholic students pursue a structured student life including 4 years of theology to learn about God and His church, contemplative retreat programs, a strong sacramental life and a Christian Community Service pro

gram which sets Kennedy students apart. Students are well prepared not only for college, but for a successful life.Kennedy Catholic is a private school dependent on the generosity of many to maintain its consistently high level of programming and to keep tuition affordable. We invite, and depend on, parents, families, and alumni to generously support fundraising efforts according to their means through either donations of their time or talents as well as financial donations in order to bridge the actual cost of this college-preparatory education with affordable tuition rates offered to families. We rely on our dedicated Kennedy community to keep Kennedy growing, remodeling, improving and maintaining a cutting edge in the field of education which benefits our students and their families for many years to come.

Today, on the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord, we gathered together for our final community mass with the Class of 2026.

Before students returned to class, Mrs. McKeegan, Assistant Principal of Academics & Curriculum, shared words of reflection and encouragement. “As the school year begins to come to a close, let us continue to finish strong — both academically and spiritually. May we approach these final weeks with determination in our studies, integrity in our actions, and compassion toward one another. In the midst of exams, projects, and many end-of-year responsibilities, may we remember to remain grounded in our faith and grateful for the many blessings God has given our school community this year.”

Thank you to Fr. Vaillancourt, Fr. Carolan, our readers, altar servers, choir and band members, faculty and all those who helped plan and support our mass.

Kennedy Catholic has earned Gold status on College Board’s AP School Honor Roll, based on college culture, college credit and college optimization benchmarks. This distinction speaks to the academic rigor, strong support system and college preparedness that is foundational to the Kennedy experience.

Our students are working so hard every day to achieve their academic goals, and we know the focus and determination they apply now sets them up for success in their next step – college. Thank you to our faculty and families for your unwavering support and encouragement.
