Check out this great event happening in Onondaga Park TODAY, Saturday, May 23rd! Rain or shine, Pawsitively Strathmore will be fun!

Come To Onondaga Park This Saturday For The Pawsitively Strathmore Event (May 23, Noon-4pm, Rain or Shine)

Join us for a fun family day supporting accessible spay and neuter service for our Southwest neighbors. All monetary donations will be placed into a Strathmore Giving Grant to be used in our neighborhood to help defer spay and neuter costs. Tell your neighbors and friends.

When: May 23rd 2026; Noon-4PM
Where: Upper Onondaga Park - Syracuse's Strathmore Neighborhood

Due to the nature of this event, bring only well-behaved dogs with leashes not longer than 6’ (retractable leashes will not be permitted) to the event for the photo shoot.

What we’re about:
• Offering affordable spay/neuter support for Southwest community members through donations and vendor fees that will be donated to SANS and Fixing to Help CNY.
• Collecting community donations of gently used beds, collars, leashes, bowls, blankets, towels, and linens — these items will be given to local shelters
Event highlights:
• Local vendors and artisans
•The Birdsong Cafe Food Vendor
• Professional pet photographer Nancy Kieffer
• Local Book Author Jaylynn Ross
• Opportunities for Pet adoption

How You Can Help:

Hi! I am Dawson Knox. I was dumped last week and showed up at a business on the Northside begging for help. I was walking up to every car in the parking lot trying to meet people. I am super friendly and like to talk. Can you open your heart and help me?

I am about 2 years old, a male, and have been checked out by a vet, tested negative and got neutered the other day. I am now ready for someone to foster or adopt and love me. Is that you? Get in touch and set up a time to meet me!
