This isn’t the updated we hoped for —with a heavy heart our sweet Annie crossed the rainbow bridge this morning. We were so lucky to give her her last four years of life filled with love, comfort, and safety she hadn’t known before. Rescuing isn’t always easy, and loving them can be incredibly hard when the time comes to say goodbye—but the joy of changing their lives, even if not for as long as we hope, is worth every moment. Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing she was cherished by so many people. She will forever hold a place in our hearts. Thank you for all the love, prayers, and kindness you’ve shared with us. Run free Anna Banana 🥺🌈❤️

After two years of Annie thriving in pasture, this is not the update we wanted to share. She showed signs of colic last night and the vet came out to tube her and give some fluids. She was doing okay this morning, but has since taken a turn and is now on her way to Alamo Pintado Equine Hospital. We’re starting a fundraiser of $3,000 to start the process at the hospital to get her the care she needs. We will keep everyone posted on our sweet Banana. As 2025 came to an end we had an amazing opportunity present itself for Noë in Washington! Once a racehorse who was treated poorly, Noë came to us needing time, patience, and understanding. Along the way, we learned that what would make her happiest wasn’t being ridden, but simply being a horse—living alongside other horses, free from pressure and expectations. That’s exactly what she is getting to do. Nothing can be forced, what we need to do is listen and do what is right by her and that’s what we are able to do!

We are deeply grateful to every volunteer, supporter, and advocate who played a part in her journey. Because of so many caring hearts, Noe now gets the life she truly deserves. 💚

UPDATE 3: At just a year old, she was discarded like she didn’t matter and she was losing hope. We took her in and I remember the day she arrived with a unsure look in her eyes. Now, at 4 years old she’s living proof that love, time, and a second chance can rewrite a life. No looking back only forward. Piper is full of light , a very big personality, a whole lot of trust and strength this girl has. We’re endlessly grateful for the incredible support system that’s helped us care for her these past 2 years. Because of you, she got the chance she deserved.

UPDATE 2: From the first ride to now watching her carry herself and others — with confidence, grace, and trust… this girl has come so far. What once took patience, softness, and endless reassurance has blossomed into quiet confidence and a gentle willingness to connect with every new person she meets. Her journey from then to now is all from the power of love, time, and second chances. She’s not just a rescue horse anymore she’s a teacher, a healer, and a true superstar in the making.

UPDATE ONE: Our little girl Piper has truly been the best little baby as she grows up. We have had her since she was about 1 1/2 years old and now she is 3 1/2-4 a has grown into an absolute champion. She tries so hard and is willing to give her all to whatever she is asked to do. We will have more updates on her progress this week. Stay tuned!

Okay a little update on Birdie.. the past couple months we have been dealing with some off and on lameness in her right hind. We have had our vets out to try to figure out the problem. We have done flexions and blocking but we still weren’t 100% sure what the problem was. So we gave her a couple months of hand-walking and rest. We haven’t seen much change so we decided to take her down to Chino Equine hospital to get some answers and a MRI. They hooked her up to a lameness detector and to find out the detector sees the lameness on the right front! We took X-rays, the X-rays came back negative.. so the next step is the MRI that will be happening this morning. We are hoping to get all the answers we need so we can continue to get our little girl back to feeling her perfect self! We have an estimated total of $4,000. Which includes her stay, lameness exam, X-rays, anesthesia and the MRI. If you can help us in any way by donating or sharing this post Birdie and our team would be so grateful.

We have some exciting news!
After more than a year of rehabilitating, caring for and building trust with Artie we have finally found the perfect home for this sweet boy, but WE NEED YOUR HELP to get him there, so his forever after story can start.

We are so excited that Artie got accepted into the LMU Richard A. Gillespie College of Veterinary Medicine in Virginia. Because of the physical and mental damage Artie has suffered in the past we’ve been looking for a place where he can enjoy pasture life, with very little asked of him. He has earned this and we couldn’t be happier for him.
To get him safely and comfortably to Virginia we need to raise $3050 by March 15th
