For those of you wanting proof, before donating to the cause, that I did actually finish both half-marathons, here are non-AI generated photos! I ran both half-marathons, each in under 2 1/2 hours with one week between them and the second one in pouring rain! (I discarded the trash bag at the start and was very soggy at the end🤣) I came in 2nd place and 1st place respectively for my "ancient" age group.

One Half-Marathon down, one more to go this coming Sunday! Does that count for a full marathon?? Anyway, not only did I come in second in my age group (Ancient Plus) but I completed the race in under 2 1/2 hours, which is a personal best time for this course. All of this to say, I hope those of you who are still waiting to donate to the Santa Barbara Youth Project can now see I am likely to finish the San Luis Obispo Half-Marathon thereby fulfilling my half of the bargain.

I am running in Santa Barbara- So you don't have to! lol- on Sunday, November the 9th and in SLO on November 16th - two for the price of one! (Something I have never attempted back to back half-marathons). Having just turned 80 years of age, I hope to have the advantage of being the youngest competitor in my age group!
