It’s been a little quiet on here lately… but behind the scenes, we’ve been hard at work 💙

At our most recent Kids2Kids visit to MedWish, we were joined by so many amazing friends who rolled up their sleeves to help sort medical supplies, items that will go on to support people in need both locally and around the world.

It was one of those experiences that reminds you just how powerful small acts can be. Every box sorted, every item organized, every helping hand… it all adds up.

Small acts. Big impact.
Every person. Every effort. Every bit matters.

So grateful for our friends and the hearts that show up to help those in need. 💫

🧡 Supporting Our Airport Heroes at CLE 🧡

Today, Kids2Kids delivered care packages to the incredible workers at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, men and women who continue showing up every day despite the ongoing government shutdown.

As of today, it has been 39 days since the shutdown began on October 1, 2025, and many essential airport workers, including TSA staff and air-traffic controllers, have now worked over a month without pay.

This crisis is impacting families across the country and right here at home:

✨ 730,000+ federal employees are currently working without pay
✨ 670,000 more are furloughed
✨ More than 1.4 million federal workers missed a full paycheck this week
✨ Airport staffing shortages nationwide have contributed to widespread flight cancellations and disruptions

Yet, despite the stress, uncertainty, and financial strain, these frontline airport employees are still showing up for all of us. And today, it was our turn to show up for them.

📦 Our Kids2Kids volunteers dropped off items to help support airport workers and their families during this challenging time. It’s a small gesture, but small acts of kindness add up.

At Kids2Kids, our mission is rooted in compassion, locally and globally, near and far. The smallest act of kindness can go a long way, and each person truly can make a difference.

Yesterday Kids2Kids partnered with Drink Local Drink Tapfor a beach cleanup at Edgewater Beach. We spent the morning collecting trash and keeping plastic out of Lake Erie, but the impact goes far beyond our shores. Through our partnership with Drink Local Drink Tap, this event also raised funds to bring clean water to villages in Uganda—supporting children's health and education. We are beyond grateful to everyone who came out to help!

We loved visiting Fostering Hope yesterday — we dropped off birthday bags, helped put together journey bags full of essentials for kids entering foster care, and spent time helping out around the warehouse. It’s amazing what a few hours and a few helping hands can do!

🎨 Art for a Cause – A Huge Success! 💛

This weekend, 30 incredible young volunteers came together to paint beautiful canvases that will help fill and brighten rooms for kids transitioning out of homelessness. Each brushstroke was filled with love, and each painting will bring comfort and color to a child’s new beginning.

Not only did we create art, we also collected much-needed items to make these rooms feel like home. We can't wait to make a delivery to Humble Design Cleveland this week!
