Well, that was fun!! The first annual Solon Aging Well Expo had a great turnout! The vendors were knowledgeable, the food was delicious, and all in attendance got lots of information.
Thank you to Hy-Vee North Dodge, Buck Creek Distributing, all the vendors, and the many volunteers that made this event happen! Let’s do it again next year, Solon! 🖤🧡

TOMORROW IS THE DAY! The Solon Aging Well Expo from 10am-Noon at the Solon Solon Parks & Recreation / Solon Community Center. Thank you to Buck Creek Distributing for the donation of Solas water and to Hy-Vee for the food!

🎉 The Solon Aging Well Expo is just 12 days away!

Join us Tuesday, May 19 from 10am–12 noon at the Solon Community Center for a morning of resources, connections, and community. We already have 26 booths registered featuring health, wellness, housing, recreation, support services, financial resources, and more for older adults and caregivers.

We can’t wait to see you there!

From May 1 to 15, register for Stories Between Generations, a summer reading and letter exchange program bringing Iowa City seniors and young people in grades 3 to 8 together around books! Participants will be notified of their partner and book title on June 1, and have one week to pick up their book at ICPL. The program wraps up with an in-person celebration at the Iowa City Senior Center on Wednesday, Aug. 12 from 1 to 2 p.m. where readers finally get to meet the person on the other side of their letters. https://ow.ly/Lous50YR5Mo

PIZZA PARTY! Our Friday Free Lunch on Jan 30th featured Pizza, Root Beer Floats and a 1950's-80's Trivia Game! Our next Friday Free Lunch will be February 27th at 1130 at the Solon United Methodist Church and we'll have a SOUP SUPPER (at lunchtime)!
