IVOE has some upcoming events and we would love to have you join us!
August 22 is Cycling with Gabe at Penn Meadows park in North Liberty. Ride starts at 8:00. This is a leisurely ride and is open to anyone. If you don't have a bike but want to go, just let us know!

September 12 - Cycling with Gabe at Solon Rec & Nature Center. Ride starts at 8:00. This is a leisurely ride and is open to anyone. If you don't have a bike but want to go, just let us know!

September 26th is RUCK 2.2. We are working on pre-registration. This is a 2.2 mile walk through Solon to help bring awareness to soldier su***de. Join us at the Solon American Legion Stinocher Post #460 for registration and the start and finish of the walk.

We would also invite you to the GWOT, Wall of Remembrance display in Cedar Rapids September 18th-20th. Check out Salute to the Fallen Foundation page for updates on event locations and additional information.

In the last couple weeks IVOE has been blessed with some great donations.
We would like to give a huge shout out to the Volesky family. After seeing the KCRG story about Gabe and our Saturday cycling with Gabe events, they donated TWO TerraTrikes. This is an unbelievable donation! This will allow those with balance issues to get back on the trails with us! Thank you Volesky family!
We also need to thank the Buckner family! Again, after the news story they contacted us and asked if we needed items for our bow/crossbow hunts in November. Mr. Buckner was a veteran and passed away. He had a large amount of clothing and other items he used. This helps us as we have veterans that join us from the south that may not have cold weather gear. Thanks to them, we now do! Thank you Buckner family!

So proud of this young man. Nile & Gabe came to IVOE with an idea last year. Now, a year later we look forward to our Saturday morning rides. Congratulations Gabe on your achievements!

Nearly five years after a stray bullet struck him in the forehead while he was driving, Gabe Heefner is back on the road — this time on a customized trike, leading group rides for veterans across Johnson County.

WOW! IVOE is so blessed to have so many communities in Iowa supporting us and our nations Veterans!
An event called Putt Putt for Freedom was held last month and they raised $3,600.00 for IVOE!!
