We are still in need of 6 more people to help out on Saturday night from 8-10pm in the beer tent. If you have any friends who can help, the more the merrier!

We have the opportunity to earn some extra funds for the Soccer team by working the 8-10 shift at Beef Days again this year. Alex Proehl:

Starting tomorrow, June 5th, the future middle school soccer players (rising 7th and 8th graders) are invited to attend summer kick arounds every Thursday this summer from 5-7 pm on the high school football/soccer turf. These will be co-ed to ensure enough players show up. Rising 8th graders (incoming freshmen) may attend high school kick around on Tuesdays at the same place and time.

This is an opportunity to get touches on the ball during the off season and to help prepare anyone that may be interested in playing soccer. Kick arounds will generally just be scrimmages between those players that show up.

Kick arounds are completely optional and open to any player eligible to play on the middle school soccer team. This is also not a commitment to joining the team, anyone interested may show up.

Hello, my name is Alex Proehl, I am one of the current coaches for the Solon boys high school soccer team. This summer the Solon recreation program and myself will be hosting a youth soccer camp for both boys and girls grades K-8 from the 24-25 school year. The camp will be held on the YSF field at SRNA (North of high school baseball field). We plan to have current and/or former Solon high school soccer players at both the boys and girls camp.

Boys dates for camp are: June 10th, 11th, and 12th. Girls dates for camp are: June 17th, 18th, and 19th. Groups and times listed below. Groups are subject to change based on sign-ups per grade.

K-2: 8:30 AM-10:00 AM

3-5: 10:00 AM-11:30 AM

6-8: 11:30 AM-1:00 PM

If you are interested please go to the city of Solon website and down to recreation sign-up. The cost will be $50 per participant. Thank you for your time!

This tournament is open to ALL soccer players in 3-8th grades, you do not need to be a part of Solon FC this season. Teams will be formed on site that day. Cost is $10 per player, payable by cash or check to Solon FC.

Today would have been the opening day for Solon FC, but Casey from the Solon Schools, is recommending that we cancel since all the other activities are being cancelled due to the heat.
